GutBud privacy

This notice explains how GutBud handles information submitted through this early-access waitlist.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist, GutBud stores the email address you provide and the time you sign up.

We also store the attribution fields that help us understand how visitors find GutBud:

  • UTM source, medium, campaign, content and term
  • fbclid, the Meta click identifier when it is present
  • Landing-page path and referrer

Why we use it

We use your email to manage the waitlist and to send launch updates and marketing about GutBud. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in those emails.

We use attribution information to understand which messages and channels bring interested visitors to the waitlist and to improve future advertising.

Advertising measurement

Meta Pixel runs on the landing page only after you accept optional advertising cookies. This choice is separate from joining the waitlist.

When allowed, Meta may receive generic visit and confirmed-signup events through the browser Pixel and, when configured, our server using Conversions API. This may include your IP address, browser user agent, Meta browser and click cookie identifiers, and a random signup event ID used to avoid counting the same signup twice. For a new signup after accepting our current notice, our server also sends a SHA-256 hash of your normalized email to help Meta match the signup and measure advertising. This coded identifier is not anonymous data. We do not send your plain-text email, food logs, photos, health information or campaign values in these events, and browser automatic and manual advanced matching remain off.

Email matching was added on 21 September 2026. A previous cookie acceptance does not authorize this addition: we ask for a fresh choice. Previous declines remain in effect, and older open pages continue to send only the information covered by their original notice.

Before loading measurement, we save the bounded attribution described above and remove query parameters and fragments from the landing URL. After permission, an actual Meta click identifier may be used to create a Meta click cookie lasting up to 90 days. We do not invent click identifiers. Measurement stays off when a referrer could contain personal information.

Use Cookie preferences at the bottom of the landing page to change your choice. Global Privacy Control keeps measurement off. Your choice lasts for this browser tab session when storage is available. Declining does not prevent signup; allowing later does not send a previous signup retrospectively.

Session storage also holds bounded campaign attribution and, when measurement is allowed, random signup confirmation IDs to avoid duplicate events. These analytics IDs contain no email. Our private dashboard stores server-delivery status, event ID, time and consent-notice version, without storing the event’s IP address, browser user agent or cookie identifiers in delivery logs. If browser storage is unavailable, the page uses temporary memory instead. Meta may retain data already sent after you withdraw permission.

How long we keep it

Waitlist records are currently retained until the owner deletes them; there is no automatic deletion schedule in this early-access site. Before public launch, the owner must confirm a retention period and a working process for access, deletion and marketing opt-out requests.

Your choices and contact

You can ask to access, correct, or delete your waitlist information, or ask us to stop using it for marketing.

Contact details will be added before public launch. This page will not be made publicly available until a real contact address is configured.
